CPM in Contrast to a CPC Pricing Model The noteworthy distinction between a CPC and a CPM model is that with a CPC model, the impressions are free. The advertiser only pays when a web surfer clicks on their ad. On the other side of the coin, when paying according to a CPM model, click-thru’s are “free”.
